Mohammedan Sporting Club demonstrated incredible teamwork and strategy, throughout the first half which helped the team to gain a healthy two goals lead before the second half. Mohammedan Sporting Club took an early lead with David Lalhlansanga’s sublime finish in the 5th minute. The defining moment arrived in the 38th minute David scored his second goal of the match giving Mohammedan Sporting Club two goals before the half time.

In the second half Emami East Bengal FC responded with a goal in the 60th minute via a spot kick from Nandha Kumar making the scoreline 2-1. The remaining of the match saw intense back and forth action, with both the teams pushing their limits. Mohammedan Sporting Club ‘s defence and goalkeeping stood strong, denying Emami East Bengal’s attempt to level the score.

The final scoreline stood 2-1 in the favour of Mohammedan Sporting Club. This win marks the second win for Mohammedan SC in the super six round of Calcutta Football League 2023.
